Gingerbread House Day

December 20, 2008

Frosting, gum drops, graham crackers, milk cartons, gummy bears, M&Ms, more frosting, hyped children, perfectionist parents, more frosting…that’s what Gingerbread House Day is in Kindergarten!  My big genius move…sooo proud of myself – saran wrap the whole thing when finished and put in a plastic Safeway bag for them to carry home, instead of the balancing place in carline and eating the gumdrops as they fall off, leaving a trail of frosting, M&Ms, gummy bears and more frosting.  I wore an apron too and thanks to my wonderful parents, everything was cleaned up, bagged and wiped down after I took the kids outside to run around.  Yayyy Gingerbread House Day, one Christmas event down, 50 more to go, I’m sure before December 19, last day of school before Christmas break!
